Experience life untouched by modern influences at Penglipuran village on a full-day tour with a private guide. Visit the hanging newborn placentas village of Bayung Gede, Walk in a bamboo forest, and take a dip in the natural rock pools of the picture-perfect Tibumana Waterfall. Depart after breakfast at 08.30, Firstly we will take you to visit Balinese ancient village called Bayung Gede, which is believed to be the parent of all of the ancient villages in Bali. Many people come here to see the hanging newborn placentas that are unique to Bayung Gede. In Trunyan village, bodies of the dead are laid on the ground unburied but here it is the placenta that is unburied. This is the only village in Indonesia that does this. Then we will drive to traditional Balinese village ; Penglipuran . Upon arrival our guide will take you for trekking in the village which surrounded by traditional Balinese countryside and has been left untouched by modernization to learn their local tradition. We will start from Karang Memadu housing complex and walk from behind the village, we will stop where people make traditional drink called Cemceman ; most popular organic drink to refresh your body. Then take a walk through the bamboo forest. In 1995, Penglipuran Village also received a Kalpataru award from the Indonesian Government for its efforts to protect the Bamboo Forest in their local ecosystem, then we will back to the village from the main temple of the village or Pura Desa Adat Penglipuran. Traditional Balinese lunch will be served in one of traditional house. After lunch, finally we will spend a few hours at the hidden Tibumana Waterfall exploring the surrounding rainforests and swimming in the natural rock pools and last head to the village of Temen to visit a coffee plantation, learn about the coffee-making process, and sample a few varieties. Back to hotel for overnight.
